How is work with Taylor Lautner in Cuckoo?
It was
great working with Taylor on the second series of Cuckoo. Hes very down to
earth, funny, open and caring person, especially to his fans. It was great to
see him work as an actor on set, very professional and generous in his work,
always doing his best, and off set very approachable and at ease with
everybody, always playing games and having fun. He also does amazing things
with grapes, and is brilliant at 10 pin bowling. He throws the ball in the most
unique way.
How is the character of Taylor in Cuckoo?
Actually
youve probably seen him by now in the series. I think there was a lot of
expectation of how good he would be, and he is very good. The press here have
been favourable, and i think its a great piece of work. He nails it.
What is your biggest challenge as an actor?
Biggest
challenge as an actor is to bring some magic to the role and make it live
beyond what is written. Its important also to create a great dynamic on set
with all the cast and crew, for all of us to be the most brilliant we can be to
create a great piece of work.
What is your big dream?
I have
many big dreams. Apart from work dreams,
One of them is the abolition of nuclear weapons - that we live in a
world with no threat of nuclear war and that world leaders commit to this and
not get caught up in the how. Heres a great quote:
"Certain
countries openly possess nuclear weapons. Other countries see themselves as
forbidden to possess them. In principle, this situation is unjust, unstable and
ultimately unsustainable. Only two possibilities can result from this. Either
nuclear weapons with spread to every country on earth, or all countries will
agree to abolish them. The first possibility leads to the extinction of the
human race. We have no choice but to choose the second option. Just because the
choice is a difficult one does not mean we can avoid dealing with it. We must
have the courage to grapple with this issue and act on our convictions." (A
Quest for Global Peace: Rotblat and Ikeda on War, Ethics and the Nuclear Threat

What do you think of Brazil?
Brazil
is a beautiful country. I havent been yet, but will do one day. I have quite a
few brazilian friends in London who i know through the Buddhist peace movement
Soka Gakkai International http://www.bsgi.org.br/
